MASRC Aboriginal Athlete Nursing Student Scholarship


This Nursing Student Scholarship is to encourage Aboriginal students to continue being active in sport while attending a recognized post secondary institute. Aboriginal students graduating from Grade 12 and who are enrolled into a full time University or other recognized Post Secondary Institution can apply for this scholarship. The candidate must have proficiency in sport, and have a minimum “C” (65%) average in his/her grades.

Amount Details:

The amount of the Nursing Student Scholarship is $500.Scholarships will be awarded to those Aboriginal Youth who have shown athletic leadership in Manitoba’s amateur sport community through well rounded participation as an athlete, as well as on the basis of academic standing, and other school/community related activities.All Nursing Student Scholarship candidates must complete the application form in full and provide all required information,documents, and letters in order for their applications to be considered.

PhD Nursing Student Scholarships Position in Experimental High-Energy Heavy-Ion Physics


The ERC-Starting Research Group QGP-ALICE at Utrecht University has an opening for a PhD position in Experimental High-Energy Heavy-Ion Physics. The group is strongly involved in Heavy-Flavour Physics in the ALICE experiment at the CERN Large Hadron Collider.

Requirements

Nursing Student Scholarships Applicants need to have a Master's Degree or equivalent in Physics or Sciences and have a strong interest in studying fundamental properties of nature. Experience in experimental physics or high-energy/nuclear physics and programming skills in C++ are of advantage.

Conditions of Employment

When fulfilling a PhD position at the FOM foundation, you will get the status of junior scientist.

You will have an employee status and can participate in all the employee benefits FOM offers. You will get a contract for 4 years. Your salary will be up to a maximum of 2,610 euro gross per month.The salary is supplemented with a holiday allowance of 8% and an end-of-year bonus of 8.33%.

You are supposed to have a thesis finished at the end of your four year term with FOM.

A Nursing Student Scholarships training programme is part of the agreement. You and your supervisor will make up a plan for the additional education and supervising that you specifically need. This plan also defines which teaching activities you will be responsible (up to a maximum of 10% of your time).
